Nobody wants to talk about the mechanics of the machine. Nobody wants to look at the intersection of a high-tempo training schedule, an aging rotary-wing fleet, and a personnel pipeline stretched thinner than cheap plastic.
I have spent decades watching defense bureaucracy prioritize operational optics over structural reality. I have seen procurement officers throw billions at modernization programs that look great in a budget request while line units starve for consistent, predictable flight hours. What Real Reform Looks Like
